Online counselling across Australia
Plain-spoken, reflective counselling for adult adoptees and families impacted by a loved one's substance use. No worksheets, no quick fixes. Someone who knows the terrain from the inside.
Two areas of practice
Adoption shapes adult identity, relationships and belonging in ways that are hard to explain to someone who wasn't there. As an adult adoptee, I don't need it explained.
Explore adoptee counselling →When someone you love is struggling with substance use, almost every resource is aimed at them. This is a space focused entirely on you: your wellbeing, your boundaries, your recovery.

Counselling shouldn't feel like a clinical examination or a pile of homework worksheets. My approach is person-centred. A steady, non-judgmental space where you can put down what you've been carrying, and understand your own story without being rushed or corrected.
I won't tell you what your life means. I'll sit with you while you work it out.
Why Paul
I understand the adoptee experience from the inside: the drifting, the disproportionate abandonment, the patterns that don't make sense until someone names them.
Someone close to me has struggled with substance use. I've lived the chaos, the anticipatory grief, the exhaustion. I've also spent years on the Family Drug Support line.
Accredited crisis supporter with Lifeline. I've sat with people in their worst moments. Very little shakes me. You can bring your whole, honest self.
